We are delighted to once again be able to host Scotland’s Daffodil Festival here at Backhouse Rossie. Come along and enjoy this uplifting spring event for all the family.

Backhouse Rossie Estate in Fife, hosts Scotland’s Daffodil Festival annually in our RHS Partner Garden,  home to The National & Scientific Collection of Narcissus Backhouse cvs.

See thousands of historic, modern & scented daffodils & other spring flowering plants. Artisan Stalls & Vintage Fete Stalls run by Marie Curie, Café serving food, snacks & drinks. Bear Walk for little ones, children’s Woodland Walk Quiz. Stands of ward winning daffodils (buy bulbs in autumn) from multi Gold Medal, “Master Grower” R &A Scamp Quality Daffodils.

Enjoy a walk-through time in Fife’s fresh clean air, see some of the first daffodil cultivars ever created in the UK from the Wordsworth style daffodils by our Backhouse family forbears.

Early tulips, auriculas and Spring flowering plants offer joyful spring colour. Wild Walk to Tomb Wood with path fringed by daffodils, the covenanter James Scott rests peacefully here Mary Queen of Scots footsteps, short Bear Walk for little toots, and a nine hole putting green with views to the Lomond hills await…Enjoy the onsite Café with festival food, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Indulge yourself shopping at local stalls with great products by talented artisans.

Including; Chelsea Gold Medal winning Binny Plants, Fife Food Ambassador and expert chef Christopher Trotter ‘go to books’, delicious Val’s Scottish Tablet Treats and talented Rough Paw Art, Paul Fieldsend print maker, relax with Create Calm Home products, wonderful Wee Bee Melts make life a nicer, Monica Robertson’s super delicious cups’n’cakes, Vintage Stalls to delight, Backhouse Rossie Jewellery stall and our well known condiments and fruit juices made from traditionally grown fruit and vegetables in the walled garden.Marie Curie ladies will be manning the Vintage Fete Stalls all proceeds from these stalls go to Marie Curie who provide much needed support and care, Woodland Trust who do great work across the whole of Scotland.
