Food from Fife Coordinator


The Fife Food Network wishes to appoint a part time coordinator who would operate on a self-employed basis to run the Food from Fife Initiative.

Job Purpose

The Fife Food Network is an exciting initiative that aims to promote and develop the region's food and drink. 

The Food from Fife coordinator will aim to develop better connections between the food and drink businesses of Fife, and increase awareness of them in the Kingdom and beyond.

By increasing our common interest in raising Fife's food and drink profile, the network should see benefits for all food and drink businesses, and will develop strategic initiatives to improve supply, distribution, quality and communication.

Aims of Food from Fife


Our overall objective is to help realise and maximise Fife's real potential for the further development of its food and tourism sectors.  This includes our aims to: 


-Develop and deepen Fife’s food identity and reputation
-Provide a resource for collaborative working locally – and with other areas
-Help improve visitor experiences
-Increase visitor spend and new tourism opportunities
-Support Fife’s local food economy and business diversity
-Increase local employment and training opportunities
-Improve community opportunities to access local food
-Encourage collaboration and joint working between members
-Link local food with other cultural, environmental and educational activities

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Membership
    • Maintain our current list of members and continue regular contact with them
    • Renewal of current memberships
    • Grow our membership
    • Provide value for our members
    • Continue and improve regular member networking


  • Events
    • Organise events to promote our members to the public
    • To encourage collaboration between our members
    • Deliver all events and quantify results/responses from each event


  • Marketing
    • Maintain and improve our current website in partnership with IT consultant.
    • Newsletter – create inspiring, concise, monthly newsletters that members want to read.
    • Twitter/Facebook – Monthly coverage of all members


  • Business Skills
    • Assist with member’s H&S requirements and assist with training collaborations etc.
    • Assist with staffing and HR solutions


  • General Admin – organising board meetings and taking minutes


  • Acting on minutes and board decisions


Time Commitment

One day per week or equivalent.
